Everyday use of Building Blocks

If you are new to using Building Blocks, need a refresher or simply want to have it explained again and again, then this is the course for you. During the morning we will introduce you to the different parts of the Building Blocks portal and explain how they link together to give you a seamless approach to planning, monitoring and assessment. There is specific focus on getting you started and time is allocated for you to explore, and work on, your own portal with support.

Course participants will have the opportunity to:

• learn how to select and use Building Blocks Rich tasks or create their own.
• Explore the 'ribbons' in the planning section to produce detailed and effective blocks of work.
• Find out how to manage planning and share their work with others using the calendar tab.
• Set default levels for the children in their class and find out how to assess each unit of work.
• leave the course with some Building Blocks' plans in place and all set to go!
