Objectives

Course participants will have the opportunity to:

• Explore the theory behind emotional intelligence
• Consider the relationships we have/would like to have in schools and to see what is in the way of achieving this
• Examine and understand behaviour patterns and how to support/break them
• Develop communication which establishes boundaries and does not damage self-esteem
• Support the development of; Awareness, Integrity and Responsibility within the school/setting
• Reflect on areas where their responsibility to their own growth and development can be a contribution to the school, such as Initiative, Optimism, Resilience and Creativity

All Foundation Phase Practitioners and Key Stage 2 Teachers
