Consulting Children:

Talking and Thinking Floorbooks

This course will take place on Monday 27th April and not Wednesday 29th April as advertised in our brochure.

Objectives

Course participants will have the opportunity to:

• Explore the way that children can participate in the planning process
• Look at current models of Talking and Thinking Floorbooks
• Discuss strategies that encourage children to communicate
• Consider how consultation in the early years can occur naturally through children’s play
• Reflect on how consultation with children improves relationships, the depth of understanding and self-esteem in young learners.
