Objectives
Course participants will have the opportunity to:
· Focus on the day-to-day aspects of assessment that are most likely to make a difference to children’s learning
· Consider the importance of activities that encourage group work and the development of effective Speaking and Listening skills
· Develop strategies for giving effective feedback
· Consider the emotional impact of assessment
· Explore ways of encouraging children to use one another as learning resources
· Focus upon peer and self-assessment strategies
· Reflect on the use of questioning from both teachers and children
