Objectives

Course participants will have the opportunity to:

Review the stages of the planning process in the early years
Consider the quality of continuous provision for young learners
Reflect on their practice in observation and assessment
Review the role of the adults working with young children
Consider the interrelated processes of observation, assessment and planning
Gain practical approaches to improve practice and develop reflective questions to support self-evaluation

Nursery and Reception Teachers, Foundation Phase Leaders and Flying Start Practitioners

Anne is an early year’s specialist. She has been an early years teacher, deputy head and headteacher of a primary school. For 21 years she was a local authority early years adviser and a school improvement adviser to primary, secondary and special schools.
