Effective Leadership of the Foundation Phase: Appropriate Pedagogy and Practice

Course led by: Glenda Dudley and Wendy Thomas

Objectives

Course participants will have the opportunity to:

• Develop a clear view of quality learning and teaching in the Foundation Phase
• Consider practical ways in which adults can challenge and engage all learners
• Deepen their understanding of role of observation, assessment and planning within the Foundation Phase philosophy and pedagogy
• Explore their role and effectiveness with regards to leading and supporting the implementation of the Foundation Phase
