Course led by: Glenda Dudley, Wendy Thomas and participating schools and settings

An opportunity for practitioners to network with colleagues and re-visit the Experiential Learning Project that was central to the conference led by Prof. Dr. Ferre Laevers’ in November 2009. Ideas on supporting ‘well-being’ through quality assessment and improvements to practice and provision within the Early Years will be shared. Input from participants will be encouraged with an opportunity to showcase and share case studies.

Objectives

Course participants will have the opportunity to:

• Re-visit the key messages of the Experiential Learning Project
• Explore how the sensitivity of the adult impacts on the well-being of children
• Share changes to practice within schools and settings and identify the next steps for their school’s/setting’s development
• Link the improvements to date to evidence based practice
• Consider ways in which good practice can be shared with children, parents, governors and the wider community
