Firm Foundations
Understanding the role of senior leaders in the successful implementation of the Foundation Phase.

Objectives

This course will offer participants:

♦ An opportunity to consider the pedagogical and organisational implications of the Foundation Phase;
♦ A clear view of high quality learning and teaching within the Foundation Phase;
♦ An opportunity to consider appropriate strategies for monitoring and evaluating Foundation Phase practice;
♦ An opportunity to examine concrete examples of successful Foundation Phase practice; and
♦ Time to reflect on current provision and to plan ‘ways forward’.
 

Target Audience

Headteachers, Deputy Headteachers and Foundation Phase Leaders (This two-day course will have greatest impact when Foundation Phase Leaders attend with another member of the Senior Leadership Team)
