The safety, quality and nutritional value of the food we eat is of fundamental importance to our health and well-being. Food safety and nutrition are therefore key concerns for anyone working in a setting where food is prepared, cooked and handled.
This course will:
• Offer participants the knowledge and understanding of the production, transportation, storage, preparation and sale of food in hygienic conditions; and
• Promote and encourage compliance with food legislation,
through good practice.
• Meet CSSIW requirements for registration and inspection in
childcare settings.
