Women into Leadership A course for women in – or aspiring to be in – a leadership role

We are delighted to welcome back Dr. Rosemary Taylor for this one day leadership course. As a growing area of academic and media interest, ‘Women and Leadership’ is a richly diverse, hotly debated, core issue for both men and women today. This course will provoke and challenge our views, as well as offering us an insight into today’s issues - both perceived and real – within the workplace for women.

Objectives

Course participants will have the opportunity to:

Consider the key issues for women leaders
Explore the dynamics of ‘Leading versus Managing’
Develop strategies for effective communication with both men and women
Identify possible flashpoints for conflict and how best to manage it
Reflect on the changing relationships within a team
Develop strategies for assertive and confident leadership

Rosemary Taylor

Dr Rosemary Taylor, senior partner of Key Issues, qualified as a teacher more than 25 years ago, later becoming one of the youngest Headteachers in the country. She attained a Masters Degree in Educational Management followed by a PhD in Change Management and now works as a consultant to schools, colleges and industry.
