Description

The role of the advisory teacher is one of privilege but also one of significant challenge. The unique nature of this role demands a particular skill set that will be considered and explored during this course. If you are working within the Foundation Phase or Flying Start Programme this course is ideal for you.

Objectives

Course participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Consider the challenging role of the Advisory Teacher within different contexts
  • Identify the issues facing advisory teams across Wales
  • Develop effective ways to support and challenge schools and settings
  • Develop strategies for coping with ‘change resistors’ within schools and settings
  • Network with colleagues in similar roles
