Description

It is well documented that modern living is impacting negatively on children’s language development. This course provides ways in which practitioners working with children from ‘Birth to Five’ can help to reverse this trend.

Objectives

Course participants will have the opportunity to:

• Consider the factors that contribute to good language development
• Consider the progression of children’s developing language
• Reflect on the experiences that children need to develop their communication skills
• Further their understanding of how to assess children’s development in this area
• Deliberate on the possible barriers to effective communication with children
• Explore practical methods that can be used to promote communication with children from ‘Birth to Five’ years and pick up helpful tips along the way!

All practitioners working with children from ‘Birth to Five’, Nursery Practitioners and SENCOs/ALNCOs
