Description

This course will focus upon how to provide an exciting and appropriate learning environment for Years 1 and 2. During the day consideration will be given to progression and continuity in planning so that appropriate challenge is provided and standards are not compromised. This course is full of practical hints and tips for Year 1 and 2 teachers.

Objectives

Course participants will have the opportunity to:

• Review the stages of the planning process for the long, medium and short term
• Consider high quality continuous and enhanced provision for children in Years 1 and 2
• Review the role of the adults working within Years 1 and 2
• Consider the interrelated processes of observation, assessment and planning
• Reflect on a case study of high quality practice
