So it's up to me!

Description

Curriculum change and LA demise… what’s going on? Well it’s still school and the pupils will arrive again in the morning; so what are we going to do with them and for them and the community we seek to serve? This session will look at ‘true school,’ community leadership and public service. It will provide you with an opportunity to develop and re-engage with real purpose on the important reasons that made us teachers and headteachers in the first place. What was I going to do and am I doing it? What’s happened so far and what do I still want to achieve? How do I get others engaged, energised and focussed on the future needs of our pupils and the world? How do I give them the energy and optimism needed to take control and make our school very, very special for everyone?

Objectives

Course participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Renew their sense of purpose, self-belief and potential
  • Develop a clear focus and the energy to achieve their goals
  • Develop an understanding of, and be equipped to help, their staff
  • Consider how their team’s thoughts, self talk and attitudes support/ undermine both common and personal goals
  • Learn how to develop personal accountability in others and ensure that they take equal responsibility for shared goals
  • Discover some tools to dream big!
  • Leave the day feeling pumped-up, sanctioned, valued and ambitious!

Target Audience

Headteachers and senior leaders who have members of staff who have lost a little of their ‘Mojo’ along the way!
