Description

With the introduction of the New Common Inspection Framework in September 2010, many schools are asking what this means for them. This course provides guidance and support for senior leaders to ensure that there is a greater understanding of the inspection process.

Objectives

Course participants will have the opportunity to:

  • Clarify their understanding of the new arrangements for inspection
  • Further their understanding of the new Common Inspection Framework
  • Familiarise themselves with the self-evaluation manual and supplementary guidance for inspection
  • Consider meaningful evidence which will support their self-evaluation judgments
  • Reflect on how the ‘All Wales Core Data Set’ will support the self-evaluation process
  • Develop strategies for responding to probing questions
  • Discuss their ‘hopes and fears’ regarding inspection
