Firm Foundations:

Understanding the role of senior leaders in the successful implementation of the Foundation Phase

Objectives

Course participant will have the opportunity to:

• Consider the pedagogical and organisational implications of the Foundation Phase
• Gain a clear view of high quality learning and teaching within the Foundation Phase
• Examine concrete examples of successful Foundation Phase practice
• Consider appropriate strategies for monitoring and evaluating Foundation Phase practice
• Reflect on current provision and to plan ‘ways forward’
 

Target Audience

Headteachers, Deputy Headteachers and Foundation Phase Leaders

(This two day course will have greatest impact when two members of the Senior Leadership Team attend together)
