Smooth transitions between different phases of education are always important. It is critical that when children move from one part of the school to another, they do not experience a break in their education, or mark time. This is particularly so between the last year of the Foundation Phase and the start of Key Stage 2. This course reflects on the type of learner that will evolve during the Foundation Phase and the challenges that the Foundation Phase learner will present to Key Stage 2 colleagues.
