Paul Smith

Paul was formerly Assessment Adviser for Devon Local Education Authority and now works as an independent education consultant. Paul has experience of working with a wide variety of schools and local authorities, both in delivering INSET and working alongside teachers in the classroom. His main focus is on developing strategies for improving children’s thinking skills and language development. He uses a variety of group problem solving activities and makes strong links with Assessment for Learning and Personalised Learning. Paul has had contacts with various national organisations such as QCA and has contributed to training materials produced by the DfES. He is also involved in Initial Teacher Training through the SCITT programme and through INSET sessions for both the Universities of Exeter and Plymouth. In recent years he has worked with international schools in Bahrain, Korea and Indonesia. Back
