Welcome to the Foundation Phase!

September 2008 and the Foundation Phase is with us!  Boys and girls across Wales will be starting school after the "summer" holidays to access their learning through play, experiential learning  with better, if not perfect, staff ratios.

It is an exciting time in Early Years and we look forward to working alongside schools and settings to provide you with the support and training that you request.

We would love to hear about the developments in your schools and invite you to contribute to our Newsletter.  Please contact us through our website on www.tlpwales.co.uk with your comments or articles.

The Learning Partnership Update

We are raring to go with courses specific to the Foundation Phase and Early Years.  Several schools have already signed up to them and we look forward to meeting you soon.  Our building, based in Tycroes, Carmarthenshire, is nearing completion.  It will be ready slightly later than planned (thanks to the weather) and will house a first class conference suite, an imaginatively stocked resource centre and a coffee shop.  Why not spend your PPA with us one morning or afternoon?  All colleagues are welcome at The Learning Partnership, so come along and meet us. Contact us for more information on www.tlpwales.co.uk or drop in for an informal visit.

Foundation Phase Courses
Our September courses are filling up but we still have some spaces to offer.  Our guest speakers for September include Ros Bayley (More than Happy and Sad,) Margaret Edgington (Observation and Assessment in the Foundation Phase,) and Learning Through Landscapes (Creating a Space to Grow.)  Please contact us as soon as possible if you, or a member of your team wish to attend any of our courses. You can book places through our website www.tlpwales.co.uk

What Does The Learning Partnership Offer?

As our name implies, we aim to work in partnership with education and childcare practitioners to provide the highest quality training that meets national and local agendas. Our goal is to celebrate the excellent practice that already exists in many parts of Wales and to raise the profile of Welsh initiatives.
