Are you currently grappling with the balance of curriculum content versus quality enquiry in the classroom? This course will give realistic and workable solutions to devising and developing a curriculum that meets the needs of learners and promotes pedagogical practices from ‘Curriculum 2008.’
 

Objectives

Course participants will have the opportunity to:


• Consider the requirements of current practice and pedagogy in terms of curriculum development
• Identify the essential elements required for child-centred, holistic learning
• Develop a flexible framework that brings together shared outcomes, skills and a clear focus on children’s learning
• Gain further insight into how ‘Assessment for Learning’ and ‘Curriculum’ weave together
• Explore practical suggestions to ensure that learning retains its rigor, challenge and excitement
